Los Angeles to Las Vegas Dirtbike ride

Explore the California Mojave Desert from its high peaks to the lowest point of the Americas on a dualsport bike. See the unique and colorful rock formations in Red Rock Canyon or Rainbow Basin. Stop at the living ghost town of Randsburg where Dirt Biker's refresh themselves at the White House Saloon. Adventure the Trona Pinnacles, which provided an ideal setting for a variety of movies like "Planet of the Apes". Ride across Death Valley through the Dumont Dunes into Nevada to the glitter of Las Vegas.

Dirtbike fun is guaranteed along curvy jeep roads and narrow trails. You will experience some open desert riding through OHV areas. The technical riding and passages will be coordinated according to your wishes and riding skill level. Unlike the legendary 'LA to Barstow to Vegas' race (which included nearly three thousand motorcyclists) you will enjoy the camaraderie of a small group as you travel across the Mojave Desert, always respectful of its beautiful and delicate desert environment. It is our wish to preserve nature and freedom of riding for future generations - “tread lightly”!

Customize your own tour! If you bring along four friends, you can schedule, expand and design your tour to fit your needs and desires. Our guide recommends adding a day from Wrightwood via Barstow to California City. For the ultimate Mojave Desert dirtbike riding experience, spend an additional day in the California City area or add a day of Death Valley riding and sightseeing. Make a round trip out of your desert ride. Ask us for routing based on the number of days you want to ride. Our minimum group size for this tour is set on 5 riders. If a tour is booked with les than 5 riders we reserve the right to change the routing or service.

STANDARD DAY BY DAY

Day 1:
Arrival in Wrightwood
Introductions and welcome at 6:00 p.m. AdMo-Tours, Inc.
1253 Evergreen
Wrightwood, CA 92397-1803

There will be one free shuttle on this day from the Ontario Airport (ONT) to Wrightwood.

Day 2:
Wrightwood - California City (150 miles)
At 8:00 a.m. we will pick up the rental dualsport bikes and start our trip by riding through the San Gabriel Mountains. We'll cross El Mirage Dry Lake, where cars set speed records on the salt flats that extend out of eyesight. This day offers a wide variety of riding, from gravel roads to winding trails to open desert. You will also have the opportunity to do some sightseeing at the Boron Borax Mine.

Day 3:
California City - Death Valley (170 miles)
Our third day starts at 8:00 a.m. when we load the luggage in the support vehicle and provide you with a detailed route briefing. Next, we'll enter the Spangler Hills, an area reserved for off-roading that includes riding for all levels of skill. We'll see the Trona Pinnacles, huge towers of carbon that rise out of the sand. We'll zip around Barrel Cactus, Joshua Trees and desert tortoises on our way across the Mengel Pass into Death Valley.

Day 4:
Death Valley - Las Vegas (150 miles)
Start time at 8:00 a.m. with the same routine of loading the luggage and receiving the morning briefing. This day's ride will be determined by the conditions of the weather and we will ride either through the Spring Mountains (which are often under snow during the winter months) and Red Rock Canyon or through the Dumont Dunes and Kingston Range. Either way, we guarantee unforgettable scenery in this very remote desert landscape!
