General questions

1. Will my credit card be charged if I fill out a booking form and the service I want is not available?
No. Your credit card will not be charged until we have confirmed that the rental bike, tour, or day ride you have requested is available. Our staff will communicate with you about the availability of the service you have booked, and can work with you to make any changes or cancellations if the service is not available. Book now using our online form.

2. How can I confirm that the motorcycle, dates, or service I want is available?
In order to confirm availability, we ask that you complete an online reservation form. Completion of a booking form is a necessary prerequisite for our staff to process your request - again, your credit card will not be automatically charged (see question #1 above). Our staff will communicate with you about the availability of the service you have booked, and can work with you to make any changes or cancellations if the service is not available. Book now using our online form.

3. Is an international permit really necessary? How do I get an international permit?
By law you are required to have an international permit with a motorcycle endorsement when riding a motorcycle in a foreign country (in addition to your home driver's license). You can obtain an international permit through your local auto club such as AAA. See more info on the AAA website.

4. I don't know much about the European driver's license system. What's A, A1, and A2?
A1, A2, and A category licenses limit the size and power of the motorcycle you are permitted to ride. An A1 license permits you to ride a motorcycle up to 14 HP (11 kW) or 125cc. An A2 license permits you to ride a motorcycle with up to 33 HP (25 kW) or 400cc. An A license is unlimited.

Questions about motorcycle rentals

5. Are the motorcycle photos on the rental pages true to life? Is the actual bike that color/year?
Due to the sheer number of bikes listed on our website, we use stock photos for most rental motorcycles. Therefore, the bike you rent may be slightly different from the bike you see pictured - it may be a different color or year, and it may come with different accessories. If you want to know more about a particular bike before you rent, our office staff would be happy to send you detailed information and (where possible) an up-to-date photo of the motorcycle. Contact us using our online contact form.

6. How far in advance should I book a motorcycle rental?
This depends on a number of factors, including the location of your rental and the time of year. Motorcycles are booked faster during the high season, which differs depending on the country. In some cases, an entire fleet of rental motorcycles can be booked up six to nine months in advance. For this reason, we suggest making reservations as soon as possible. Questions about dirt bike services

7. I'm interested in a dirt bike training class for my child. Are there exceptions to the age limit?
Yes, we can make an exception to the age limit for the AdMo-Tours dirt bike training classes if the child already has riding experience. See more info on our dirt bike school. *Please keep in mind that age limitations may not be flexible for motorcycle rentals or tours.

8. If I take your dirt bike training class, will I then have enough experience to do one of your tours?
Yes, even if you only take a beginner class, you may have enough experience to ride on one of our tours. However, this depends on how well you progressed in the class. Please also keep in mind that some tours are more difficult than others. At the end of the training session, your trainer should be able to tell you whether or not you are ready to ride on a specific tour. Check out our dirt bike school, rentals, and rides and tours.

9. Do you customize lessons for the dirt bike training school? Do you offer private lessons?
Yes, we can customize lessons to suit your riding needs or the riding needs of your group. However, if other riders outside your private group are also booked for the same training session, we adhere to a basic curriculum. If you prefer to have a fully customized lesson, it is possible to book a private lesson for you or your group. Click here for more details on our dirt bike school.

10. Do you allow motocross bikes on your dirt bike tours and rides?
For dual-sport tours and rides in the United States, the routes we ride require all bikes to be street legal, so motocross bikes are not permissable. One exception is that motocross bikes may be used in the Randsburg area during red-sticker season. Please note that dual-sport tours located outside the United States may have different requirements. Click here to see available dirt bike tours and rides.

11. How much advanced notice do you need to book a day ride in California?
We generally require at least a week's notice before booking a day ride. However, we suggest you book as early as possible to ensure availability. Click here to see available dirt bike rides.

12. Do you offer single-day or two-day rides even if I'm the only rider?
Yes. Even if no other riders sign up for the ride you have booked, the ride is still on! Click here to see available dirt bike rides.

13. Are there restrictions for the use of bikes with two-cycle (two-stroke) motors?
If you have a street-legal two-stroke bike, you may bring it on a tour if it meets our criteria for gas capacity (120 miles), insurance, and up-to-date registration. Click here to see available dirt bike rides.

Questions about motorcycle tours

14. How far in advance should I book a motorcycle tour?
