Adventure, Round-Trip, Guided
The Altai region is situated in the heart of Asia, almost at an equal distance from Arctic, Pacific and Atlantic oceans and on the border between Russia, Mongolia and Kazakhstan. Altai, which means "Golden", represents vast lands of virgin nature, like picturesque lakes with deep blue color, fascinating caves, high mountain meadows, steep passes and stunning vistas. The Altai range is about 2.100 km long and reaches an elevation of about 4.500 m.
This round-tour starts in Barnaul, the capital of the Altai region, and leads you through remote nature to fantastic places. You will ride on Chuski Highway, the famous road connection between Russia and Mongolia. You will visit caves, where humans lived more than 300.000 years ago. You will do an unforgettable ferry tour on Teletskoye Lake - the "pearl of Altai" – and see fantastic waterfalls, beautiful gorges and spectacular rivers and you will visit the Pazarikskie museum. One day is planned to be in paragliding camp “Bobrovaya zaimka” with a one-day round trip along the rivers Peschanaya and Solonovka on a motorized paragliding. You will stay in hotels and resorts and one night in a tent. Enjoy some dinners at the campfire and listen to guitar music.
This tour is designed for riders with some off-road experience and a spirit for adventure. You don't have to worry about your luggage. Everyday the support vehicle will transport it to the next accommodation.
