Day 1: Arrival. Pick up from Colombo International Airport, then transfer to beach hotel in Negombo. Rest & relax by the pool and have dinner.

Day 2: Negombo - Habarana. Riding from Negombo to Kurunegala, we'll pass Ethugala Rock viewpoint, where you can see a Giant Statue of Buddha - not to mention lots of wildlife, especially macaques! Then we head on to the rock fortress of Sigiriya (Lion's rock); an ancient rock fortress and palace ruin situated in the central Matale District of Sri Lanka, surrounded by the remains of an extensive network of gardens, reservoirs, and other structures. A popular tourist destination (and a cave temple), the city of Dambulla is situated in the Central Province of Sri Lanka, about 148 km north-east of Colombo and 72 km north of Kandy. Major attractions in the city include the largest and best preserved cave temple complex in all Sri Lanka. We will stay overnight at Habarana.

Day 3: Habarana - Polonnaruwa. Before leaving Habarana, we will stop to ride elephants in the village! Then on to Polonnaruwa, a World Heritage Site dating back to 846 AD - 1302 AD. Polonnaruwa was the Island's capital during the period of 9th -13th century AD. In its day, the city was fortified with three concentric walls, beautiful parks and gardens, and many shrines. At Gal Vihare, we will find magnificent Buddhist sculptures carved out of massive rocks. We'll also visit the royal ruins of the Audience Hall, Council Chamber, the Royal Citadel, the Kumara Pokuna (pond), and the Royal Pavilion. The ruins of Buddhist temples of Thuparama, Kirivehera, Hatadage are also located here. Most impressive are the vast ancient rainwater reservoirs, which continue to irrigate dry zone plains, providing the lifeline for many people. We will stay overnight at Polonnaruwa.

Day 4: Polonnaruwa - Kandy. From Polonnaruwa, we'll ride to Girithale, where we head off into the mountains. In Mathale, we'll stop to visit a famous Hindu Temple. When we reach Kandy, we'll stay overnight in one of the local hotels.

Day 5: Rest Day. The fifth day of the tour will be a rest day in Kandy. During the day, we can tour the city and visit the botanical gardens or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth. In the evening, we can view a performance of Kandian Dancing and spend the night in this colorful city.

Day 6: Kandy. In the morning, we head for the Knuckle’s Range, a stretch of mountains that runs from Kandy to Sigirya. The day's ride will include Corbett’s Gap and Meemure Ancient Village, from which we can take in the local rural lifestyle and enjoy an off-road experience through the jungle before turning in at Hunnas Falls Hotel for the night.

Day 7: Kandy – Gampola. After breakfast, we'll leave the Hunnas Falls Hotel and ride through Kandy on our way to the Bio Diversity Center in (Ambuluwawa) Gampola and stay overnight at Ramboda Falls Hotel.

Day 8: Ramboda - Haputale. We'll begin our day with a nature walk to Ramboda waterfall. Next, we'll head for Nuwara Eliya and visit the Labukalle Tea Factory along our way. We'll also stop at Horton’s Place (World’s End from where we can see right across to the East Coast) and stay overnight at the Haputale Olympus Plaza Hotel.

Day 9: Bambarakanda Waterfall - Diyaluma Falls. Our day begins with a ride to Bambarakanda waterfall (the highest waterfall in Sri lanka). An off-road ride takes us to Worlds End Lodge, where we break for tea. Belihuloya is a scenic place of trees, rocks, and a small river - a very peaceful and magical place! We then ride through rubber plantations on the way to Diyaluma Falls before returning to the Haputhale Olympus Plaza Hotel for the night.

Day 10: Haputale - Ella. On the tenth day, we'll leave Haputale for Buduruwagala Rock, which is carved with many reliefs of Buddha. Next, we'll visit Ella Gap, a viewpoint from where you can see the East Coast and Rawana Waterfall, then Lipton’s seat viewpoint. Stay the night at Ella.

Day 11: Ella - Tissamaharama. From Ella, we ride to Rawana Falls and stay overnight at Hotel Priyankara in Tissamaharama.

Day 12: Tissamaharama - Unawatuna. Next, we go wild and visit Yala National Park for a safari. We can see many wild animals, including elephants, crocodiles, wild boar, peacocks, and deer (if we are very, very lucky we may even spot a leopard!). Stay overnight in Unawatuna.

Day 13: Unawatuana - Negombo. From Unawatuana, we head north, stopping at the old Dutch/Portuguese Galle Fort. We'll also visit the turtle farm Kosgoda, which does much fine work in rearing baby turtles for future release back into the ocean. We will also see the Toddy tapping at Payagala (Toddy is drawn from the flower of Coconut Palm). At the end of the day, we'll stop for shopping in Colombo, then return to Negombo.

Day 14: Rest/Departure. Rest day in Negombo at a beach hotel, then farewell and transfer back to the airport.

Note: We reserve the right to make changes.
