Day
1:Arrival at the airport in Malaga, transfer to La Herradura, here you will get your motorcycle near the hotel. If there is time before dinner, you can take a walk down by the La Herradura bay, or you can take a short tour into the surrounding mountains. Day 2: La Herradura - Sevilla (210 miles) We'll leave the Mediterranean coast and drive north past Antequera (El Torcal) and Moron de la Frontera. Via the flood plain of Guadelvir we'll reach Sevilla, capital city and heart of the Andalusian culture. Sevilla is the center of bull-fighting and flamenco dancing, undoubtedly one of Spain's most exciting cities. We have enough time to gain some memorable experiences in this beautiful city. Day 3: Sevilla - Zafra (130 miles) To the north lie the Sierra Morena Sevilla, a diverse mountainous landscape of oak forests and herd pastures where the street adapts to the landscape. Long drawn-out curves and smooth asphalt gets our hearts beating a little faster. Soon we will be in Extremadura, a Spanish region full of history. This was the home of the American conquistadors. Hernán Cortez and Francisco Pizarro brought the Incan and Mayan gold back to their homeland to finance the beautiful palaces and churches you see around you. Our hotel for the night, the "Hernán Cortez", takes us back to that prosperous time. Day 4: Zafra - Trujillo - Caseres (130 miles) We'll travel north through this unique natural scenery travelling north knowing that another surprise awaits us. Trujillo, the birth place of the well known Eroberers Pizarro, is famous for its beautiful main square, the medieval fort, and city walls with seven doors. The next city is another jewel: Caceres, the city walls with its watchtower and renaissance palaces, is worth a closer look. We will spend the night in the middle of the city in a XIV century palace. Day 5: Caceres - Placencia - Gualdalupe (160 miles) This is definitely a place we could spend more time in, but there are many more things we want to show you, such as the Parque Natural de Monfragüe. There are simply so many lovely routes and areas that we should experience before we arrive in Guadalupe. When we do, we'll explore its huge convent, whose art is invaluable. Guadalupe is known especially for its "Black Madonna", patron saint to all Spanish speaking countries. Day 6: Guadalupe - Cordoba (190 miles) Today we say farewell to Extremadura and the unique Paradores. Awaiting us are wonderful routes and new impressive cities in Andalusia. For example, Cordoba, typical for Andalusia, was one of the largest capital cities in Europe in the 11th century. Today we will get to know Cordoba and its famous Mesquita-Cathedral. Day 7: Cordoba - La Herradura (160 miles) From Cordaba to Granada, we take a nice panoramic road, we pass Granada and the snow-capped Sierra Nevada. Via a breathtaking mountain pass we return to the starting point of the tour, La Herradura. Over a farewell dinner we will look back at the past weeks. Day 8: Departure Note: We reserve the right to make any small changes during the course of the tour. |
