Itinerary
|
Day 1: Collection - Welcome to Guatemala! You will be collected from the airport and after a drive of around 45 minutes you will arrive in Antigua and be taken to the Bikers Lodge.
Day 2: Ride and Climb Volcan de Pacaya - On our first day we will get straight into some great riding and getting used to the bikes you will be using over the coming week. This is a 2 hour ride out to the Volcan De Pacaya with a mix of on and off road routes. We leave the bikes at the mountain base and start our climb on foot. There are some amazing land formations and flowing lava to be seen once we reach the top. Seeing flowing lava for the first time is definitely an experience you will remember forever!
Day 3: Dirt River Tour - Today is packed with adventure riding through a variety of terrain! We will venture off the beaten paths and ride through lots of off road track, river crossings, and see lots of volcanoes. There will be countless opportunities for great photos and videos of your adventure riding. On this day, we promise you no other tourists or travellers. We often hear that today is the highlight ride for many of our guests in Guatemala.
Day 4: Mixco Viejo Ruins - A great ride out to see one of the largest archeological sites of the Mayan civilization, on and off road riding.
Day 5: Volcan de Agua Ride and Climb - Today we will ride to altitude of 2700 meters, this is where we stop and continue on foot to an altitude of 3765 meters. This is definitely a technical ride with rocks and ditches on the tracks and trails. Sometimes there are great views of Guatemala City and the pacific coast. Don't forget your cameras! Weather permitting, alternative routes available.
Day 6: Playa de Monterrico - This is road ride to a lovely destination, on a good clear day, great views will be seen of 4 - 5 volcanoes. Monterrico is quite simply a place to relax, eat, drink and chill out; swimming with a little precaution is also fun. It is a very popular beach resort for tourists and Guatemalans.
Day 7: Antigua - Today we will return to Antigua, this is where we conclude our adventures; we hope you enjoyed the trip!
Note: We reserve the right to make changes.
