Itinerary
Day 1:
Arrival in Charlotte
After a quick pick-up from the airport to our hotel headquarters, you'll get to meet your fellow riders and adjust your motorcycle to suit your personal riding style. Afterwards we'll enjoy a nice dinner in the city and get to know the Blue Strada Tours staff and other tour guests.
Day 2:
Charlotte - Tennessee (265 miles / 426 km)
After breakfast, we're off to the mountains and great twisty roads of North Carolina. Lunch is in a quaint town outside Asheville, full of local flavor. After lunch we continue to ride through the mountains of North Carolina and Tennesse, enjoying an afternoon of riding scenic rolling ribbons of road. Our overnight stay is at a historic old mill that has been converted into a charming yet comfortable inn. Walk to dinner and enjoy a relaxing evening with your fellow riders.
Day 3:
Tennessee - Nashville, Indiana (286 miles / 460 km)
After a home cooked Southern breakfast, we'll leave the inn and head through the beautiful horse and tobacco country of Kentucky. Lunch is in historic Corydon, Indiana, the first capital of the Hoosier state. A visit to the longest covered bridge in Indiana is in store on the afternoon ride. Our destination for the night will be the very special Story Inn - Brown County's premier B&B featuring "gourmet dining in a most inconvenient location." Spend a memorable evening in this 150-year-old inn and get ready for the short ride to Indy on Friday morning.
Day 4:
Nashville - Indianapolis (65 miles / 105 km)
An easy day of riding gets us to Indianapolis, where we check in and then go straight to the track in time to visit our VIP Hospitality tent, walk the track, and visit the GP Pits and Exposition. Dinner is at one of Indianapolis' finest restaurants - and you never know who you will run into! Downtown Indy is a 'motorcycle midway' beyond imagination, and you are staying right in the middle of it all!
Day 5:
Indianapolis
Day 5 is full of activities, including Practice, Rookies Cup Race, and a private tour of the Speedway Museum. In the afternoon, enjoy the Run for the Pole from the Red Bull Hospitality Station located just inside the most famous turn from the 2008 GP! Oh yeah, and don't forget all there is to see at the Manufacturer's Midway! A quick dinner at a great Irish Pub downtown before heading out to the Indy Mile - AMA's best of the best - racing at 135 mph (218 km/hr) on a one-mile dirt track oval! Just like the best footage ever seen from "On Any Sunday."
Day 6:
Indianapolis
Lots to see at the track today, so we're off early with a police escort to catch it all (in style!). The red Bull Hospitality Station suite has food and beverages all day and racing action live on closed circuit big screens. We'll end the day with another nice dinner close to the hotel in the heart of downtown.
Day 7:
Indianapolis - Somerset, Kentucky (245 miles / 394 km)
Time to load 'em up and head back South. We'll take a different route this time - through the hilly farm country of Indiana. The morning's ride will take you through historic Metamora on Indiana's old canal system. New scenery as you have lunch on the Ohio River and watch the traffic on the water. Plenty of new twisties before we stop for the night at another upscale Inn - this one located in historic Somerset, Kentucky. A relaxing, gourmet dinner will be served at the inn as we prepare for the final ride back to Charlotte.
Day 8:
Somerset - Charlotte (370 miles / 596 km)
Enjoy the scenic roads of Kentucky one more time as we cross the Blue Ride Parkway. A bistro lunch with a VIP racing guest is in store in historic Marshall, North Carolina. We'll arrive at the Charlotte headquarters hotel with plenty of time to relax and have dinner on your own.
Day 9:
Departure
Note: We reserve the right to make changes.
